2022 DNR Approved Weed Treatment
With permit approval of the DNR, Aquatic Control will be treating approximately 172 acres of Eurasian watermilfoil at Bass Lake on Monday, June 6, 2022, with liquid 2,4-D – weather permitting. As a reminder, Eurasian watermilfoil is an invasive plant that spreads easily and quickly. It also crowds out native plants, reducing biodiversity, and diminishes fish habitats. Dense mats of watermilfoil can also form near the surface. Aquatic Control will be posting lawn signs in areas as to the specific treatment; follow instructions that are posted.
The following water use restrictions for homeowners will need to be followed for use of lake water following treatment:
- Swimming – 0 days (we only ask that people not swim or boat in treatment areas while we are on the water for everyone’s safety).
